CYUT was ranked the World’s Top 1000 Best Universities by Times Higher Education
The Special Issue in Times Higher Education recently announced World's Best University Rankings between 2017and 2018. Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT), founded in 1994 (only 23 years until now) was ranked the World’s Top 1000 Best Universities with the other two universities of technology in Taiwan: NTUST and NTUT. Young CYUT not only shows research potentials but also achieves excellence in the process of globalization.
President Tao-Ming Cheng said that this special issue in Times Higher Education selected top 1000 Best Universities from more than 20,000 universities around the world. CYUT was ranked on the same level with Southwest Jiaotong University in Mainland China, Kansai University and Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan. This remarkable achievement attributes to the efforts of all faculty members as well as students and shows our incessant endeavors and consequent result in internationalization.
In recent years, CYUT has spared no effort to promote our research and globalization, to invite world-class masters to join our research teams, such as Dr. Miroslaw Skibniewski (the academician of both Russian Academy of Engineering and Polish Academy of Engineering), and Dr. James Fleck (Professor Emeritus, the University of Edinburgh Business School), and to show our strong ambitions in global perspectives. In addition to recruiting world-class masters and foreign teachers, CYUT encourages our teachers to cultivate their academic and industrial abilities. For example, Chia-Chi Cheng, Dean of College of Science and Engineering, has been elected as a foreign member of Polish Academy of Engineering. It is an outstanding achievement.
