Ligneous Dinner Plate of Environmental Protection
The vice president of our school Yew-Min Tzeng and associate professor of
graduate institute of design Tsu-Wu Hu research and develop the ligneous dinner
plate of environmental protection. They plan to plant a large number of Fallcata
Albisia in Philippines as new material of dinner plate, to replace paper dinner
plate which used everywhere now. By the way the results of this research obtain the
patent of dinner plate of environmental protection. Professor Hu said this new
material not only environmental protection and safe, but also matching up sell
appearance of log lines, can promote the nature feeling of goods in plate and
conform to the trend of emphasizing environmental protection and health of eating
and drinking completely. The results of this research hope create a new
environmental protection concept product in Taiwan, and promote this new dinner
plate to the market of Japan.
The board chairman of CNNIC and the first graduate of Department of Information
The board chairman of CNNIC and the first graduate of Department of Information Management, Zhi-Jie Han, donated equipments worth about 6.3 million NT dollars to ChaoYang University of Technology, where the equipment includes a high-end firewall, two leading-edge servers and CCFL lighter T-bar for a classroom. Mr.Han extends his appreciation to Professor Amy Wang and Professor KQ Yan for their help while he was studying in ChaoYang.The principle Chung-Jen Chin expressed gratitude to his generosity on behalf of all students, teachers and staffs.
Honorably Elected as the 2009 Industry-Academia Cooperation
Our University honorably got the 2009 industry-academia cooperation prize awarded by Corporation Legal Person China Engineer Society. The Chief Executive Officer, General Center of Enterprise Innovation, Min-Chao Wang was on behalf of our University to accept the prize. In coordination with the celebration of the Annual Congress of China Engineer Society, our faculties’works derived from industry-academia corporation were demonstrated in the exhibition.

In order that domestic and international young men can understand traditional
culture in Taiwan, in this year, National Youth Commission, Executive Yuan has
promoted a series of activities of "Formosa Ghost Festival" and planed "Taiwan
Exploration" travel activities, which can match the "Keelung Mid-Summer Ghost
Festival". The art work, " Creativity Art Attic", which was designed by the
department of Communication Arts of Chaoyang University of Technology and received
award, will also attend the "Culture of the Ghost Festival Youth Exploration Bus
Tour".
Sponsor Poorly Student Ms. Chen’s Great Love
Ms. Chen, our teacher in Department of Finance, has continued to sponsor Mr.
Wei Wing-cheng for several years. Mr. Wei was a student of our department, who’s
family lives in poverty. Owing to Ms. Chen’s kindness, Mr. Wei has not only
graduated from our school, but also does he go for advanced studies. The
indiscriminate charity of Ms. Chen is strongly impressed on all of us.
“No hurting” pin Alumna Shio-Ling Shu attains IENA 2006
Did you ever get hurt by a pin? Alumna Shio-Ling Shu has invented a “no
hurting” pin to solve this annoying problem. Not only has her patent been approved
for her new invention but also she is one of the members to attain IENA 2006, one
of the most important international trade fairs for “Ideas – inventions –
novelties”.
Environmental Safety and Health Center Awarded Superior Prize
Chaoyang University of Technology took part in the contest held by
Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) to evaluate the results of solid
waste, resource reduction, and recycling in 2006. We received superior prize in
Educational group. The Environmental Safety and Health Center held a demonstration
on campus on December 8. This meeting attracted over 100 Environmental Safety and
Health workers in high schools, vocational schools, and universities.
Professor Wang is a Key Man for Training Financial Experts
Do you know? More than 400 students graduate from Department of Finance at our
school every year and each student owns two or three professional licenses before
he/she entries into the job markets. The Department of Finance is said to be the
cradle of training experts in Finance.
  Among many faculties in the Department of Finance, Professor Jeng-Jii Wang is
the key person for boosting proficiency testing programs of financial licenses.
After receiving his PhD degree from University of Columbia, Prof. Wang has taught
many courses related to certification of financial expertise at our school. Owning
13 American professional licenses, Prof. Wang understands thoroughly it is very
important to obtain these licenses for the career planning of each student.
Therefore, he provides our students the scholarships by himself to encourage them
to take various testing programs. Prof. Wang earnestly hopes that our students can
enhance their competence in work and succeed to enter the job markets.
