In The GreenMetrical World University Ranking 2019, CYUT has been ranked among Top 100 for 3 Consecutive Years
The GreenMetric World University Ranking 2019, hosted by University of Indonesia, involved more than 80 countries and 780 universities in the world in which six indicators— infrastructure, energy and weather change, water resource, waste disposal, transportation, and education—were evaluated. Among them, CYUT was ranked 68th and has been ranked among the top 100 for three consecutive years. In indicator of Energy and Climate Change, CYUT was ranked No. 1 in Taiwan with outstanding energy-saving performance and unparalleled sustainable development.
CYUT has been recognized by 2019 National Sustainable Development Award of the Executive Yuan and has been the only award-winning university of technology in Taiwan. Among the six indicators evaluated by the GreenMetric World University Ranking 2019, CYUT was ranked No. 1 in Taiwan in indicator of Energy and Weather Change and No. 71 in the world and No. 2 in Taiwan in indicator of Waste Disposal. The promotion of both energy-saving and carbon reduction has been widely recognized.
