In response to the severe outbreak of pneumonia caused by COVID-19, CYUT postponed the start of the new semester to March 2.

Explanation:

  1. According to the final decision of Ministry of Education (MOE) in The University Meeting on Severe Contagious Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention held on Feb. 3, 2020, universities should delay and set their own starting days. 
     
  2. In order to cooperate with epidemic prevention and to be equipped with feasible measurements, CYUT decided to delay the start of the new semester to March 2, 2020. Students and faculty members should be informed of this decision by all department colleagues and class instructors. Moreover, during this period of epidemic prevention, it is essential for both teachers and students to take good care of personal health.
     
  3. CYUT is to announce a new academic calendar after submitting it to MOE for reference.
