Dear colleagues,

        In view of the continuous spreading of COVID-19 worldwide, the epidemic prevention measures in Taiwan are adequate and situation is currently under control. To protect the health safety of our students and staff, the university has postponed the semester commencement date to March 2 and will continue to carry out epidemic control work to align with the new commencement date.

        In accordance with the requirements of "The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC)," effective from Feb 7, foreigners who have visited or stayed in China within the last 14 days are temporarily barred from entering Taiwan. For foreigners who need to visit Taiwan for special reasons and have visited or stayed in China, but have not visited or stayed in Level 1 or Level 2 Areas within the last 14 days, he/she can apply for entry permit with the provision of necessary documents, which include a travel history log for the last 14 days and a health report within the last 7 days. Upon entry, he/she must undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

        If you have visited or stayed in mainland China within 14 days before returning to Taiwan, please contact the R&D Office (rdoffice@cyut.edu.tw) as soon as possible. Our school will arrange quarantine matters upon your arrival in Taiwan. In the event that flights to Taiwan are not possible due to flight restrictions, it is recommended that you only come to Taiwan after the epidemic situation has eased or the entry control has ended.
