Promoting University Social Responsibility CYUT Selected as Top among Private Universities
As COVID-19 epidemic continues to rage, universities are bringing positive energy to societies. In 2020 "CommonWealth Magazine USR Citizenship Survey," Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) in the practice of University Social Responsibility (USR) stood out as the champion of all private universities of technology among 110 public and private universities in Taiwan in areas of “Teaching Commitment” and “Sustainable Environment.”
According to "CommomWealth Magazine," this is their second year of USR university citizenship rankings and one of the most authoritative USR rankings in Taiwan. Unlike traditional rankings such as World University Impact Rankings’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by United Nations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) uses carefully calibrated 42 indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: university rules, social participation, teaching commitment, sustainable environment. CYUT not only won the championship as the model university among all private universities of technology in Taiwan in areas of teaching commitment and sustainable environment but also showed positive energy of universities in our societies.
