Promoting friendly campus is one of the major policies of the Ministry of Education in recent years. As a token of recognition to schools and staff who performed outstandingly in student affairs and counseling work, the Ministry of Education has organized the “Friendly Campus Award Ceremony of Academic Year 2020”. It is encouraging that CYUT, in the college section, won the Excellence Award by defeating 283 nominees nationwide, becoming the only  technological university being awarded. President of Chaoyang University of Technology, Cheng Tao-Ming, received the trophy from Lin Teng-Chiao, the Administrative Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education.

    The Administrative Deputy Minister, Lin Teng-chiao, stressed in his speech that recent incidents happened in campus attracted much public attention on the campus safety which gave us food for thought. It is of no doubt that the people-oriented campus safety work has to keep on, but efforts should also reach aspects of life education, character education, gender equality and the rule of law in the future. While affirming the long-term contributions of schools and staff, the Ministry of Education is also looking forward to the continuous endeavors of partner schools in establishing a learning environment that is respectful,  inclusive and high quality.
