CYUT enters Asia University Rankings for 5 straight years

The Times Higher Education (THE) announced the Asia University Rankings 2022 last week. CYUT is glad to be listed for the fifth consecutive year. The rankings reached 31 countries, and 40 universities from Taiwan entered. It assessed university performance in teaching, research, citations and influence, international outlook, and industry income. President Cheng Tao-Ming expressed that the pandemic affected higher education worldwide in the past few years. He is proud that CYUT can still excel in research and university-industry collaboration under such a difficult situation.

CYUT penned collaboration pacts with over 640 overseas institutions and engaged foreign intellectuals from different countries to join the teaching team. They helped raise the academic and research capabilities. Besides the Asia University Rankings, the school also entered the Young University Rankings, Emerging Economies Rankings, Impact Rankings, and the World University Rankings. It is a recognition of its endeavor in globalization.

CYUT also plays a part in bridging Taiwan companies and Europe. This year, the European Business & Innovation Centre Network (EBN) commissions the school to be the only contact point in matching 100 European start-up entrepreneurs with experienced entrepreneurs in Asia (Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore) for exchange. This program facilitates business opportunities between Taiwan and Europe and broadens the international exposure of CYUT faculty and students.
