CYUT Celebrates 2025 Commencement, Honoring 2,900 Graduates
CYUT proudly held its 2025 commencement ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 2,900 graduates. President Tao-Ming Cheng conferred degrees and encouraged students to pursue excellence, embrace global opportunities, and contribute to society with the CYUT spirit of learning, compassion, and resilience.
Recognized for its commitment to internationalization and sustainability, CYUT has been ranked among the Times Higher Education World’s Best Universities for eight consecutive years. It also secured top honors among Taiwan’s private technological universities in both the 2025 QS World University Rankings and the 2024–2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings.
This year marked the graduation of the inaugural class from the Department of Aviation Technology. Among 42 graduates, eight earned Private Pilot Licenses (PPL) after completing flight training at EVA Flight Training Academy in the United States. The department is also launching new partnerships with Purdue University and Southern Illinois University to expand global flight training opportunities.
During the ceremony, Ya-Chen Wu from the Department of Industrial Design delivered a touching speech on behalf of the graduating class. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to faculty, family, and friends for their unwavering support and thanked CYUT for four transformative years that gave him the courage to chase his dreams and take flight.
Key campus landmarks such as the red-brick stairway and central pathway were beautifully decorated to commemorate the occasion and quickly became favorite photo spots. The ceremony concluded with warm wishes for all graduates as they begin their next chapter toward a bright and promising future.
