Best performed private technological university, CYUT becomes candidates’ first choice



The Global View Magazine released the Taiwan University Reputation Rankings 2021 days ago. Presidents and Vice-Presidents of 139 universities evaluated each others’ performances in running universities and graded their favorite institutions. CYUT ranks the first among private technological universities, becoming an admirable competitor and students’ first choice.
Faculty’s thrust in research, industry-academia collaborations and global exchange has elevated the research capability and reputation of CYUT and demonstrated excellence and social influence under the leadership of President Cheng Tao-Ming, as revealed by the observation of the Global View Magazine.
CYUT drives its performances in R&D and industry-university cooperations by initiating special featured programs: AI in healthy agriculture, green-energy materials, and the innovation of eco-friendly combustion equipment. It draws the R&D team, overseas and national patents, and resources in industry-university cooperations together for the sustainable development of an eco-friendly environment. The innovative products and technologies received international recognition and certification.
The university signed protocols for collaboration with over 640 overseas institutions and engaged foreign intellectuals and experts from the world to become part of the teaching team for fostering academic exchanges and strengthening students’ competitiveness. CYUT invested TWD 500 million in establishing the College of Aviation. The newly set up Department of Aviation Technology becomes the only university in Taiwan that provides professional pilot training besides the Air Force academy. Attracted attention from all walks of life.
CYUT also allocates more than NT$70 million in various scholarships and incentives each year. Together with NT$30 million from the Higher Education Sprout Project, students can receive subsidies to join national and international competitions, professional skills examinations and overseas exchange programs. More than 50 innovation-related courses are set up each year for long-term collaboration with industries. Innovative teaching models are adopted to train up talents.
