CYUT retains as the Best Performed University

The Global View Magazine released the Taiwan University Reputation Rankings 2022 last week. Presidents and Vice-Presidents of 133 universities evaluated each other’s performances in running universities and graded their favorite institutions. CYUT ranks first among private technological universities again, continuing its position as the best-performed university and students’ first choice.

The survey reveals that university presidents stressed much on capability in connecting with industries, cross-domain integration, and global partnership. Under the leadership of President Cheng Tao-Ming, CYUT’s research capability and reputation were boosted through the faculty’s thrust in research, industry-academia collaborations, and global exchange, demonstrating excellence and social influence.

CYUT signed collaboration protocols with over 640 overseas institutions and entered various renowned global rankings. Besides investing TWD 500 million in the College of Aviation, it also provides scholarships for students to undergo overseas pilot training in the United States. Each year, the school allocates more than NT$80 million in various incentives. Together with NT$30 million subsidies from the government, students receive sponsorship in national and international competitions, skills examinations, and overseas exchange programs. Students are encouraged to take AI-related and cross-domain courses to strengthen competitiveness and facilitate long-term partnerships with industries. More than 300 innovation-related courses are set up each year, with innovative teaching models adopted. It also won first in the Teaching Practice Research Program 2021. Lately, the school has been actively implementing digital teaching and digital transformation. It establishes digital master lectures, contactless payment counters for students, smart Q&A systems, and digital diplomas for graduates.
