CYUT inaugurates the Mongolia Alumni Branch

CYUT celebrated the establishment of the Mongolia Alumni Branch on 24 May 2023. It is the seventh branch since the formation of the Alumni Association and just came in time to welcome the first batch of Mongolian graduates this May.

Munkhdul Uurtsaikh, a fresh graduate in information management, was recommended as the first branch chair. She thanked CYUT for the nurturance and support given to Mongolian students. She treasured the opportunity to serve Mongolian alumni, pledging to do her best to demonstrate the best qualities of CYUT’s community.

As a token of gratitude, Munkhdul gifted President Cheng Tao-Ming a traditional costume which is an intangible cultural heritage of Mongolia. President Cheng accepted it with immense happiness and immediately put it on to present the branch flag to Munkhdul. He hoped the Mongolia branch could help promote the academic, economic, and cultural development between Taiwan and Mongolia and link with other alumni groups for a solid global network and vibrant alumni community.

CYUT has signed collaboration pacts with nine provinces of Mongolia and is ready to intake more students. The current 42 students enjoy their learning in CYUT, and one of them, Shinetsetseg Jargalsaikhan, who studies a Ph.D. in Business Administration, remarkably won the Global Leaders Scholarship 2022.

After the Mongolia branch, the school will toast the formation of India and Japan branches in July. It is a prelude to the founding of CYUT Global Alumni Association when the school celebrates its 30th anniversary next year.
