A Testament to Excellence: CYUT in THE Young University Rankings

The Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Ranking includes the world's top universities aged under 50 with sound performances in teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry-academia collaboration. The 2024 rankings attracted 1,171 entries from around the globe, including 18 universities from Taiwan. CYUT is proud to be listed for the sixth consecutive year, a testament to its research capabilities and social impact.

CYUT's vision is to become a world-class university. Despite being established for only 30 years, its dedication to globalization has produced impressive results. The university has partnered with over 640 sister universities, enrolled over 1,000 international students, hired exceptional faculty from 16 countries, and had several scholars recognized as the world's top 2% of scientists. Besides the Young University Rankings, it has also achieved an impressive list of global recognition, including THE World University Rankings, Impact Rankings, Asia University Rankings, Engineering Rankings, Computer Science Rankings, Business and Finance Rankings, etc. It has entered the QS World University Rankings 2024 and ranked atop private technological universities.

CYUT acknowledges the importance of nurturing interdisciplinary talents and allocates more than NT$100 million in student scholarships annually, initiating over 30 cross-subject programs in smart IoT, fintech, green product design, and cross-border e-commerce. It has invested NT$500 million to establish the College of Aviation, which includes programs in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Technology, and Air Transport Management. This university is the only one in Taiwan that collaborates with airlines to offer pilot training. The curriculum is designed to encompass three core aviation sectors: flying, maintenance, and ground handling, providing comprehensive training for young people to pursue their aviation aspirations.
