The Office of Industry-Academia Collaboration hosted the recent RICH Entrepreneurship Competition at Red Brick Plaza. Nineteen student teams competed, showcasing creative products like leather crafts, preserved flowers, anime figurines, and student-designed clothing. This market-style competition fostered entrepreneurship skills and exposed student ideas to a wider campus audience.
Going beyond business, the Office of Student Affairs encouraged seven special education students to participate. These students not only gained valuable entrepreneurship experience but also donated all proceeds to the school's emergency relief fund. This act of generosity exemplifies the program's commitment to fostering social responsibility.
Since 2015, CYUT's RICH Entrepreneurship Program has been bridging the gap between classroom and commerce. It offers comprehensive support, including training, mentorship, and an annual NT$10 million fund for student startups. Over the past six years, nearly 150 student teams have participated, with 50 receiving funding and 8 successfully launching their businesses.
