CYUT celebrates 2nd consecutive year in QS World University Rankings

The 2025 QS World University Rankings have been released with 27 universities from Taiwan listed. CYUT is proud to be the only private technological university in Taiwan ranked for two consecutive years.

The QS World University Rankings assess universities based on nine indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, international research network, employment outcomes, and sustainability. This year's analysis incorporated data from 17 million research papers, 1.76 billion citations, 1.9 million academic survey responses, 660,000 employer survey responses, and data from 5,600 institutions worldwide. CYUT excelled in "academic reputation" and "employer reputation," with a notable increase in international research collaborations to 47.8%, demonstrating its global impact in the “international research network" indicator.

Driving by its vision to become a world-class university, CYUT has prioritized globalization, signing collaboration pacts with over 640 overseas institutions. CYUT campus is a vibrant international community, hosting over 1,000 students from 26 countries and top faculty from 16 countries, including India, Turkey, the United States, and Japan. The university has been featured in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for seven consecutive years and listed in the Impact Rankings, Young University Rankings, Emerging Economies Rankings, Asia University Rankings, and subject rankings in Business and Economics, Computer Science, and Engineering.

Despite declining birth rates, CYUT achieved a freshman registration rate of 95.58% for the 2023 academic year. The university promotes the SDGs and has strengthened research through key projects. It invested NT$700 million to establish the aviation college, creating Taiwan's first immersive aviation education environment. Additionally, CYUT provides over NT$100 million annually in scholarships and financial aid, offering 30 interdisciplinary programs and 15 micro-programs in areas like digital finance, AI design applications, smart living technology, and AIoT, ensuring students are well-prepared to excel in the ever-evolving global landscape.
