CYUT sends off the Class of 2024 with hope and inspiration

CYUT celebrated its graduating Class of 2024 on June 8 and 9, with 3,019 students receiving their degrees. The ceremonies were filled with pride, excitement, and best wishes for the future. President Tao-Ming Cheng officiated the events and encouraged graduates to chase their dreams and contribute to society. Graduates expressed heartfelt gratitude to faculty and staff for their guidance and praised CYUT for empowering students to achieve their dreams.

CYUT has made significant strides in international rankings in recent years. The university has maintained its position in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for seven consecutive years and has also been listed in the QS World University Rankings for two years. It remains the only private technical university in Taiwan to achieve this distinction. President Cheng encouraged graduates to strengthen their global competitiveness and make a mark on the world.

This year, CYUT celebrated the second graduating class from its College of Aviation. With the recovery of the aviation industry after the pandemic, graduates enter the field at an opportune time. The College focuses on preparing professionals in aircraft maintenance, flight operations, and air transport management. Their ambitious plan is to train 850 aviation professionals over the next decade. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering includes an Aircraft Maintenance Training Center that offers a degree-combined certification program. This program allows students to earn their Civil Aviation Administration's Aircraft Maintenance Engineer certification before graduation, giving them a significant advantage in the job market. This advantage is evident, as all 42 graduates this year landed jobs with promising career prospects.

To create lasting memories for its graduates, CYUT transformed the campus into a picture-perfect backdrop for graduation photos. Creative designs featuring CYUT landmarks, dream paper airplanes, and charming grass tents provided popular photo spots for graduates to capture their moments at the university.
