THE Impact Rankings 2024 recognize CYUT's commitment to sustainability

The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024 assessed 2,152 universities across 125 countries, recognizing institutions excelling in their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CYUT is proud to be listed for the sixth consecutive year, solidifying its position as Taiwan's leading private technological university for sustainable practices.

These rankings highlight the critical role universities play in driving positive global change. CYUT achieved impressive positions in SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), ranking within the top 201-300 globally for these categories. Additionally, it made significant progress in SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reaching 401-600 this year.

CYUT is committed to environmental sustainability, aiming to reduce energy consumption by 2% annually and achieve net-zero emissions by 2045. The university offers over 4,000 SDG-related courses to all students and faculty members, demonstrating its dedication to green initiatives. This commitment has earned CYUT a top 100 ranking in the UI GreenMetric World University rankings for seven consecutive years. Furthermore, CYUT received a prestigious local award for university social responsibility (USR), solidifying its leadership among private technological universities nationwide.

CYUT's commitment extends beyond rankings. Its innovative initiatives in agricultural waste recycling and the development of green economies have garnered numerous global awards, including the Most Influential Award at the U20 International Youth Forum, Gold Medals at the International Warsaw Invention Show (IWIS), America's Science & Invention Expo (ASIE), and the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX Malaysia). Continuous inclusion in the THE Impact Rankings is a testament to CYUT's unwavering dedication to building a more sustainable future.
