CYUT ranks among THE World’s Best for 8 straight years
The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025 include 2,092 universities from 115 countries. Among Taiwan's 47 listed universities, CYUT is the only private technological university to be ranked for eight consecutive years, highlighting its strong research and industry collaboration.
President Tao-Ming Cheng stated that the university has focused on building a high-quality research environment, advancing academic development, and promoting global sustainability. Several CYUT scholars have been recognized among Stanford University’s top 2% of global scientists, enhancing the university’s international reputation. This year, CYUT also ranked first among Taiwan’s private technological universities in the 2025 QS World University Rankings and the 2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings.
Hsi-Hsien Yang, Assistant Vice President and Dean of R&D, emphasized that CYUT has strengthened its research centers through strategic initiatives. The “Non-Destructive Testing Center” leads in stress wave testing, thermal imaging, and 3D modeling, integrating UAVs for automated testing. The "A2I Smart Industrial Technology Center" helps upgrade Taiwan's precision machinery sector. The "Green Agriculture Technology Center" promotes eco-friendly farming, and the "Sustainability of Environmental Resources Center" supports businesses with carbon reduction and green energy solutions, earning widespread recognition.
