CYUT connects students with top employers at 2025 Career Expo

CYUT hosted its 2025 Career Expo on March 25, bringing together nearly 100 leading companies and publicly listed corporations, including Evergreen Airline Services (EGAS), CECI Engineering Consultants, Hi Lai Foods, The Lalu Hotel, and Sogo Taichung. More than 10,000 job opportunities were offered across industries such as aviation, information technology, construction, manufacturing, finance, tourism, and hospitality.
President Tao-Ming Cheng highlighted the university’s dedication to talent development and its continued recognition in global rankings by Times Higher Education, QS, and U.S. News & World Report. He mentioned that CYUT’s aviation graduates, equipped with professional certifications and hands-on experience, are particularly competitive in the job market. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering has already placed over 100 graduates in the aerospace industry, and this year’s first graduating class of the Department of Aviation Technology saw all 42 students secure aviation-related internships, with six attaining flight certifications in the United States.
Deputy Director-General Qi-Chuan Ruan of the Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, praised CYUT graduates for their professionalism, teamwork, and positive attitudes — qualities highly valued by employers.
The event also featured career counseling and job resources provided by government agencies, including the Taichung City Employment Services Office, National Armed Forces, and the Council of Indigenous People. The expo offered over 1,000 positions for international students and 850 roles for individuals with disabilities, promoting a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace environment.
