CYUT earns global spotlight in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

CYUT has once again been listed in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, securing its place as Taiwan’s top private technological university. CYUT also ranked in the global subject categories of Engineering for the third consecutive year and made its debut in Computer Science, the only private technological university in Taiwan to achieve such recognition.

President Tao-Ming Cheng highlighted CYUT’s commitment to global sustainability and academic excellence, with ongoing collaborations across the United States, Germany, Japan, India, Nepal, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Several CYUT scholars have been named among Stanford’s “World’s Top 2% Scientists,” demonstrating the institution’s growing international impact.

CYUT’s research centers, focused on non-destructive testing, sustainable agriculture, and environmental innovation, have significantly boosted research and industry-academia collaboration. The College of Aviation has pioneered Taiwan’s first immersive, scenario-based aviation education environment, while the College of Informatics has tripled its international journal publications and established dual-degree programs with partner universities in Japan and Germany.

CYUT is also recognized in the QS and Times Higher Education (THE) global rankings, with strong performances in Engineering, Computer Science, and Business & Economics. Over the past three years, the College of Management has published nearly 400 Scopus-indexed papers, with strategic focus on smart finance, digital transformation, e-commerce, well-being management, and sustainability. Its academic and research achievements continue to outperform many national universities, preparing graduates for global success.
