CYUT’s global vision secures its place in QS Rankings for third straight year

The 2026 QS World University Rankings have been released, listing 27 universities from Taiwan. CYUT proudly stands out as the only private technological university in Taiwan to be ranked for three consecutive years.
The QS World University Rankings evaluate institutions based on nine key indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, international research network, employment outcomes, and sustainability. This year's rankings assessed 1,500 universities worldwide. CYUT has made remarkable strides in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and continues to strengthen its research centers through strategic initiatives, driving excellence in research, development, and industry-academia collaboration.
Guided by its vision to become a world-class university, CYUT places strong emphasis on globalization. The university has established partnerships with over 640 overseas institutions, cultivating a vibrant international campus community with more than 1,000 students from 28 countries and top faculty from around the globe. Through its flagship Thousand Students Overseas Learning Program, CYUT offers diverse international opportunities, including exchange programs, invention contests, volunteer activities, and internships.
CYUT has also achieved continued recognition in global rankings, appearing in the QS Asia University Rankings for five consecutive years, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for eight years, and the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, demonstrating the university’s dedication to expanding students’ global outlook and international competitiveness.
Despite declining birth rates nationwide, CYUT achieved an impressive 97.38% freshman registration rate for the 2024 academic year. The university continues to promote the SDGs and strengthen its research capabilities through key projects. One such initiative is the NT$700 million investment in the newly established College of Aviation, creating Taiwan's first immersive aviation education environment. Additionally, CYUT provides over NT$100 million annually in scholarships and financial aid, and offers 33 interdisciplinary programs and 20 micro-programs in cutting-edge fields such as digital finance, AI design, smart living technology, and AIoT, ensuring that students are prepared to excel in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
