CYUT launches Blood Donation Campaign to support SDGs

CYUT’s EMBA program has once again launched the “Chaoyang Blood Donation Day,” continuing its mission to give back to society and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Following last year’s achievement of collecting 1,000 bags of donated blood, this year’s campaign brings together alumni, students, and local community members through three large-scale donation events. The first event, held at Wufeng Farmers’ Association and led by President Tao-Ming Cheng, successfully collected 262 bags in a single day despite hot weather, highlighting the university’s strong commitment to public welfare and social responsibility.

The initiative has drawn wide support from alumni associations, academic departments, faculty leaders, and numerous alumni-owned businesses that sponsored the campaign. The effort will continue with a second event organized by the Department of Leisure Services Management Alumni Association in collaboration with the Taichung Fude Lions Club, followed by a three-day campus-wide drive led by the university’s student alumni association. By uniting different generations and sectors of society, CYUT demonstrates its ongoing dedication to sustainability, community engagement, and creating a lasting positive impact.
