Life, Music, and Giving Back: The Journey of Lee Ming Construction Chairman Chun-Shan Wu
On September 12, Lee Ming Construction Chairman Chun-Shan Wu opened his touring photo exhibition “The Brilliant Colors of Five Countries” at CYUT. He also staged a special crossover concert, “Dreams in Sound & Vision,” with the Taiwan Sycamore Camerata, blending images and music to share his passion for life and his global outlook.
CYUT President Tao-Ming Cheng praised Wu’s leadership in delivering landmark projects such as the National Taichung Theater, the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, and the Taichung Arena. Wu’s perseverance has earned him legendary status in Taiwan’s construction industry and an honorary doctorate from CYUT. Beyond business, he has devoted himself to public service, founding the Taiwan Action Bodhisattva Education Association and the Taiwan Old Tree Rescue Association, while providing long-term support to the Huei-Ming School and Home for Blind Children.
An accomplished singer with six Taiwanese-language albums, Wu has also performed to sold-out audiences at the National Taichung Theater. His CYUT concert featured classics such as “A Rainy Night at the Port” and “Bygone Love Is Continuous,” earning praise for both his artistry and his philanthropy.
Wu described life as “a long journey under a heavy burden; keep walking, keep singing, keep cultivating.” His photo exhibition showcases 47 works from Europe, Japan, New Zealand, and Tunisia. The collection will conclude with a charity sale at the International Bodhisattva Sangha in Dali, transforming art into support for social good.
The exhibition runs through October 9 at CYUT’s Design Building and is also available online at https://www.tintint.com/exhibition/colors-of-countries.
