CYUT Early Childhood Education Graduation Projects Highlight Interdisciplinary Innovation

CYUT’s Department of Early Childhood Development and Education recently presented its 29th Graduation Project Showcase. The exhibition featured seven projects integrating AI technology, language and cultural education, character development, English learning, traditional childcare practices, interactive learning, and infant care observations.

Department Chair Hua-Huei Chiou emphasized that the projects demonstrated strong interdisciplinary integration, creativity, and practical application, reflecting the department’s long-term focus on professional training in early childhood care, Montessori education, language development, and the use of technology and multimedia.

Highlights included projects combining AI with preschool instruction, innovative approaches to Hakka language education, intergenerational character education, immersive English learning, and interactive play-based learning environments. Other projects explored traditional childcare wisdom and practical teaching innovations in infant care centers.

Dean Liza Lee stressed that the showcase reflected both students’ academic achievements and their readiness to enter the early childhood education industry, presenting new possibilities for the field through innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
