Traffic Safety Alert - Don't Lend Your Car or Motorcycle

  • A car or motorcycle is not something to lend as a favor. Never allow others to drive your vehicle casually.
  • Updated traffic laws are now in effect, with significantly higher penalties for unlicensed driving.
  • Riding a motorcycle without a license: fines of up to NT$36,000.
  • Driving a car without a license: fines of up to NT$60,000.
  • If an unlicensed driver is involved in drunk driving, drug-impaired driving, or a traffic accident, the vehicle owner may be held jointly liable for civil and administrative penalties. Lending your vehicle can still result in fines.
  • In serious cases, vehicle license plates may be suspended for 1 to 6 months.

⚠️ Reminder: Lending your vehicle isn’t helping. It can put you at serious legal and financial risk.

👉 Always confirm that anyone driving or riding your vehicle is properly licensed. Follow traffic laws and help keep our roads safe.
