Campus Safety Advisory: Theft Prevention

Recent Update

A recent theft incident on campus has been successfully resolved through cooperation between the University and local police. To help maintain a safe campus environment, the Office of Campus Security reminds all faculty, staff, and students to stay alert and take appropriate precautions to prevent similar incidents.

Key Safety Tips

If you notice any of the following, please remain cautious and report it immediately:

  • Individuals acting suspiciously or loitering without a clear purpose
  • People lingering in academic buildings, residence halls, or public areas while watching others’ belongings
  • Individuals whose behavior or access does not match their identity
  • Please report any suspicious activity to Campus Safety for prompt response.

🎒 Keep Your Belongings with You

To prevent loss or theft:

  • Keep valuables such as phones and wallets secure at all times
  • Take important items with you when leaving your seat or classroom
  • Do not leave belongings unattended in public or shared spaces
  • Many thefts happen in moments of distraction—please stay mindful.
