CYUT Sends Off 2,800 Graduates with Pride and Best Wishes

CYUT held its 2026 graduation ceremonies from June 12 to 15, warmly celebrating 2,800 graduates as they prepared to begin a new chapter in their lives. During the main ceremony, President Tao-Ming Cheng conferred degrees and turned the tassels of student representatives, offering his heartfelt congratulations and encouragement. He urged graduates to pursue their dreams with confidence, use their knowledge to serve society, and carry with them the CYUT spirit of learning, compassion, and resilience wherever their journeys may lead.

President Cheng also shared the university’s recent achievements, highlighting that CYUT’s commitment to international engagement, smart technology, and sustainability has continued to earn global recognition. The university has been listed among the world’s best universities by Times Higher Education for nine consecutive years and ranked first among Taiwan’s private technological universities in both the 2026 QS World University Rankings and the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities rankings. He encouraged graduates to keep striving for excellence, reminding them that every step forward is part of becoming the best version of themselves.


This year, the College of Aviation proudly celebrated 181 graduates, including 28 students from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering who have already received offers from airlines. Among them, Nigerian graduate Te-Sheng Wang graduated first in his class and has accepted a position with STARLUX Airlines. In the Department of Aviation Technology, eight students completed professional flight training in the United States and earned Private Pilot Licenses, while Chen-Lung Fan obtained a Commercial Pilot License. The ceremony also featured heartfelt remarks from graduating student representative Fang-Ling Zhang, who thanked her teachers, family, and friends for their support. To make the occasion even more memorable, the campus was decorated under the theme “Let Your Dreams Set Sail,” creating a warm and festive atmosphere as graduates celebrated their achievements and looked ahead to a bright future.
