Road Safety Month
National Road Safety Month takes place every September. Launched by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in 2020, the campaign promotes road safety through a month of public education and awareness activities.
This year’s theme is “People-Centered Transportation: Creating a Culture of Yielding.” The campaign slogan is: “Drivers: Slow Down, Look, and Stop. Pedestrians: Cross Safely.”
- Drivers: Slow Down, Look, and Stop
Slow down as you approach intersections, stop when necessary, and always yield to pedestrians. - Pedestrians: Cross Safely
Follow traffic signals and use marked crosswalks. Stay alert and avoid distractions while crossing the street.
