Student teams from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering won Titanium, Silver, and Bronze Awards at the 8th Green Idea International Invention and Design Fair 2026, which brought together 191 teams from across Asia.

The Titanium Award went to Fu-Xue Chen, Kuan-Sheng Ho, and Yu-Zhen Tong for developing an IoT-based intravenous infusion monitoring system designed to improve clinical efficiency and patient safety, under the guidance of Prof. Ming-Cheng Kao.

The Silver Award was presented to Bing-Chen Li, Tsung-Cheng Lin, Jun-Lin Shen, and Bo-Cheng Yang for developing an edge-AI platform that supports safer medication use and remote home care, advised by Prof. Ming-Cheng Kao and Asst. Prof. Wei-Min Cheng.

The Bronze Award went to Sheng-Jie Huang, Yan-Xun Lin, Ying-Zuo Huang, and Yao-Cing Yang for developing a smart home monitoring system that tracks environmental conditions to improve safety and comfort, under the guidance of Prof. Ming-Cheng Kao.

The award-winning projects highlight CYUT students’ strengths in AI, IoT, smart healthcare, system integration, and innovative design.
